(Continuation from (Un)Realaxing Bath) Alex noted she looked as if she was looking for a more out of her. If she wanted a better response then she would have to introduce Aislin to Briar. Which posed a question. "Do you know sign language?" She knew it wouldn't be a problem but sometimes when Briar felt like just talking quickly she would put down her notebook and pencil and just sign. As Aislin commented on her clothes she blinked and looked down at her clothes. It crossed her mind for a split second to put something better on before she violently tore the thought to shreds in her head. Her clothing was fine. She wore this all the time. "I like my hair short. Its more manageable and less likely to tangle like Bridgit's does."
As they walked out of the room she rolled her eyes as Aislin got after her for her eating habits. "You sound like Briar. 'Cept for the not having to eat comment. Whats the point of eating if I'm not hungry?" As they started down the stairs her mind was already wondering if her favorite restaurant was open or still closed for repairs. Hopefully it was open. If not she would look up one that was. Looking down as her hand she noted Aislin was holding it and had weaved their fingers together. Looking forward again she hid her eyes with her bangs once again but held Aislin's hand. Just letting Aislin talk she continued walking with the girl beside her. When they walked outside Alex stopped and looked at Aislin. "Don't let go of my hand or you might end up somewhere you don't want to be."
Looking forward she condensed the space between the dorms and school gate before taking a step forward and pulling Aislin though and letting the space return to normal. With a confident smile Alex did this three more times till they were in district 5. From there she walked with Aislin hand in hand to a restaurant that had just reopened a couple of days ago. It usually served breakfast all day and lunch and dinner at the normal times. Opening the door for Aislin she let the her go first as they were quickly seated in a booth. "Pick what ever you want. I will treat despite you already offering." Carefully she looked through the menu to see what she would like this morning.

"I don't know much, just a little bit a I picked up from a book or two." Aislin replied to Alex' somewhat strange sounding question. Did it have something to do with Briar, perhaps? Well, whatever the reason, Aislin was sure Alex' question wasn't completely out of the blue. "That's a fair reason to keep it short. I still think I might grow mine out though." Aislin said, slowly moving herself a bit closer to Alex' as they talked.
Aislin couldn't help but smirk at Alex' rolling her eyes. "I just told you the point. Your metabolism goes down when you don't eat breakfast. You don't even have to have a huge omelet or anything, just some toast." Aislin replied to Alex. She noted Alex hiding behind her bangs again after looking down at their hands. "Um . . . sorry if my hand's cold or anything. I can't really help it." Aislin commented, tempted to make Alex get her eyes out from behind her hair again. "Hm? Why's that?" Aislin asked. She then found out about Alex' spacial manipulation power. "Oh, that's why. That seems rather handy." Aislin commented, keeping a firm grip on Alex' hand as she continued doing it. The whole experience was slightly unsettling to the stomach. Fortunately, only slightly.
"Thank you." Aislin said when the door was opened for her, keeping a hold of Alex' hand and practically pulling the girl in. She didn't let go until the two of them were seated. "You don't have to do that. My wine got you hung over, I'm paying for your breakfast." Aislin replied to Alex. After that, Aislin began looking through the wide assortment of foods on the menu. Pancakes or waffles are always nice . . . maybe with strawberries and some whipped cream . . . ooh, Crepes. Aislin mentally commented. Crepes sounded really good, actually. "I'm thinking about crepes, how about you?" Aislin asked.

Alex noted Aislin had turned slightly green during the walk through space. Oops. Though since she didn't get sick she decided it wouldn't be that bad. Aislin just needed a bit of time to get used to it. "Not really. I've been trained to work on little to no food for days at a time." It obviously hadn't been voluntary training but she left that part out. Thinking on Aislin's lack of signing abilities she wondered if Aislin would be willing to learn more.
"How about Bridgit or I teach you more sign language? Briar doesn't speak. She signs or uses her fire or uses a note book to talk. Sometimes she gets excited and uses only sign language cause it is faster than writing in her notebook." Looking through the menu she decided to just get what she always got when she came here. Though maybe she could try something new since Bridgit was still asleep.
Contemplating it she looked through the breakfast section while Aislin pointed out she was thinking about crepes. Looking up at her she blinked. "What are crepes? I usually just get French toast but Since Bridgit is still sleeping I thought I might get something different. Fine if you pay for breakfast I'm paying for dinner." Of course she wasn't very sure if she would like anything else. Even as she spoke a waitress arrived at their table. "Hello, I'm your waiter Alexia! What can I get you to drink today?" Alex looked up at the girl and shook her head. "Water and chocolate milk." Alexia wrote it down before looking at Aislin to wait for her order.

It took a moment for Aislin to regain her composure as Alex spoke. "Ah, I suppose being used to having a slow metabolism or going without food is definitely the same thing as it being the least bit healthy," Aislin replied to Alex on the matter oif breakfast. She was, of course, being sarcastic and wouldn't drop the issue until Alex started eating breakfast on a regular basis. It couldn't be more painfully obvious that it seemed like a losing battle and that Alex would be very stubborn about it, but Aislin had talked her way into a kiss the previous night,
"I'd be happy to learn. It would be hard to communicate with Briar if she uses it to talk quickly and I don't know much. I only need ti be able to understand it, not speak it, correct?" Aislin replied to Alex. Learning didn't seem like it would be anything too titanically challenging. The grammar and syntax was still there, all she had to learn was how to recognize the new words. Of course, assuming anything was easy before you actually tried it tended to be dangerous business overall. Nothing ever seemed to be as easy as it looked to be at first glance, unfortunately.
Aislin struggled with a good way to describe what crepes were to Alex. There was always "a really flat pancake," but that wouldn't be terribly helpful for Alex to understand. "It's like a really flat pancake that you wrap around some sort of filling rather than eating flattened out with syrup. Usually the filling is some kind of fruit." Aislin replied before the waitress cane and asked fior their orders for drinks. Aislin immediately assumed Alex wanted the water and Bridgit wanted the chocolate milk. "Herbal tea, preferably something with lemon in it. Aislin replied before turning her attention away from Alexia and towards Alex. "Um, so, you kissed you me when you had had a bit of wine, would you do it again, no alcohol involved?" Aislin asked, a faint pink tint coming to her bloodless skin.

Alex watched her as she took a moment before actually answering back. Alex gave a small smirk over her sarcastic tone. "See I knew you would see reason. Now we can move one to a funner topic." Happy she looked through the menu a moment longer before just deciding to go with French toast. Why change her normal now? Besides she kind of like the french toast. Not that she would let Bridgit know that since her alter would then insist on coming here everyday for food.
"Correct. Shes mute by choice, not deaf. Anyways it won't be hard to learn. Its all about context. Also she is quite quick at signing so you might want to learn how to read sign quickly." Alex was actually looking forward to teaching Aislin how to sign. Plus she would leave it to Bridgit to teach Aislin, if Bridgit felt the need to do something. Looking up at Aislin, Alex decided the top really went well with Aislin's looks. It made her look sexy. Before she was caught looking she folded her menu up and placed it on the table.
Alex nodded as Aislin explained what crepes were. Maybe she could get Aislin to allow her to try it. Alexia nodded as she wrote down their orders."Alright. I will bring that right out!" Smiling she quickly went back to the kitchen to get their drinks. Alex looked up at Aislin in surprise as she asked about kissing. The immediate answer on her mind was definitely yes. Of course she didn't want Aislin to know that at the moment. Hiding her eyes she was quickly betrayed by the light pink blush on her cheeks. "Erm......I don't know." It was a very indecisive answer since she couldn't find a better answer to cover the one up in her mind. There went all her computer genius out the window. She could bully people into what she wanted them to do but the moment Aislin started asking questions she didn't know what to say.

"Why is she mute by choice? Does she have voice or sound based powers?" Aislin asked. "Mute by choice" wasn't exactly something you heard every day. Ideas jumped around a bit in Aislin's brain about what would drive someone to be mute by choice. She didn't come up with much of anything likely, so it simply became a matter of waiting for an answer from Alex about the subject.
Aislin quickly realized she'd stumbled onto an awkward subject with the question about kissing. Well, the least she could do was close the conversation, then move onto a different subject. "Well . . . I'd gladly kiss you and Bridgit again." Aislin replied, resorting to nervously fiddling with her hair so that saying it felt less awkward given the climate of the conversation.
Different subject, different subject, different subject. She needed something less awkward to talk about, something more comfortable that didn't make it sound like she was trying to rush the relationship. "So, you don't know your species? Have you tried looking it up? I haven't heard of many that can reproduce with anyone regardless of sex that aren't hermaphroditic." The logistics of that fact alone made Aislin's head hurt. Were they all hermaphroditic with tertiary characteristics they used to define gender? Did their biology simply accept genetic material through some other way than sexual contact? There were a number of confusing possibilities that made Aislin rather curious. She wanted to mention that she hadn't really seen any sign of hermaphroditism on Alex and Bridgit, but she feared making the subject of conversation something awkward once more.

Alex nodded her head At Aislin's tone over Briar being mute by choice. "Yes. Sound is her most powerful affinity. Unfortunately it shows its self through her voice when she does try to control it. She works with Ms. Nezumi after classes to help her." Alex's eyes visibly softened the more she talked about Briar. It was very obvious she doted on her little sister despite being the less social of the two personalities.
Alex fought the need to twist her fingers like a shy school girl as she felt Aislin's eyes on her. Angry at her own reaction she looked up and met Aislin's eyes just at the other girl spoke up again. As Aislin fiddled with her beautiful black hair Alex almost gave into the girl's request and kissed her with out the alcohol. Instead the air seemed to just get awkward.
When the topic of her species came up again, it was like a slap to her mental state. It was a good reminder that she shouldn't get involved with someone. They were being hunted and bringing this girl into the mess their ancestors had started was no way to have a relationship. Realizing she still hadn't answered Aislin she pulled herself out of her thoughts. "No. I have but I don't know enough to look it up. And no we are not hermaphroditic. It has something to do with hormones and DNA from the partner. I haven't tried it and I probably wont anytime soon." Not like she was gonna die so-....actually she might if the River girl got activated again. Rubbing her head she wondered how to derail from this conversation. "Obviously I don't know quite as much about your species. Mind telling me more?"

The guess about Briar's abilities were correct and Aislin gave herself a mental pat on the back. She couldn't help but feel a tad pleased with herself for a correct hypothesis.
Then the subject of her own species came up. This was where things tended to get awkward for Aislin. "Er, well I'm a vampire, as I told you. That means I don't really need to eat, but it's nice to have a meal every now and then. I need to drink blood to get nutrients. Depending on what it is, some of the 'weaknesses' you hear about are completely wrong or only apply to people who were turned into vampire. It . . . it's a bit complicated." Aislin sighed. It was always difficult trying to explain things to people about vampires since there were many misconceptions. It didn't help that Aislin wasn't entirely informed given the relationship she'd had with her parents and that she knew some of the information that got spread about vampires was incorrect.
"I guess neither of us really like talking about our species, hm? So, what do you want to talk about?" Aislin asked. She felt her choices of conversation weren't entirely working.
Aislin smiled somewhat sheepishly at Alex. She couldn't help but keep her eyes locked on Alex' eyes. Aislin normally didn't like green. Alex' eyes made her like green. Her legs shifted uncomofortably and she shifted her gaze to the rest of Alex since she started to realize she was staring. She couldn't say she was overly fond of Alex' clothing choice. It didn't seem to work well. Maybe Aislin could take her shopping after breakfast. Somehow, it seemed Alex wouldn't enjoy Aislin dragging her all over Savale and forcing her in to various outfits. It couldn't hurt to ask though, could it?

Alex listened with curiosity as she heard Aislin out about the vampire species. Huh. It was rather interesting hearing about her species. Alex needed to do a lot more research about Aislin. Some of her research probably wouldn't be by legal means. As Aislin quickly got off the Topic Alex realized she was probably as uncomfortable about it as Alex was.
"What are your favorite things to do?" Alex was just fishing for a new topic. Plus this topic might come in handy later if she did decide to try this whole relationship thing out. Wait wait wait......did she want to try it out? Well it wouldn't be too bad. She could always back out before anyone got hurt. Besides people might think she is just a new toy for Bridgit. Honestly she didn't want people thinking that way. Confused by her thoughts she felt the migraine coming back. Great
Catching Aislin's sheepish smile she wondered what the girl was thinking about. She was interrupted from her thoughts as Alexia arrived back with their drinks. "Are you ready to order now?" At Alex's nod she smiled and took the menus. Being polite Alex allowed Aislin to order first then ordered for herself. "I would like the 5 piece french toast, with eggs, bacon and sausage on the side, please." When Alexia left to put in their orders she looked over at Aislin again.
"Penny for your thoughts?" It wasn't like Alex wanted to talk but she had a feeling if she could get Aislin talking she wouldn't have to do much talking.

Aislin sighed in relief as Alex asked about a very easy subject. "I'm a novice fencer, mostly Epee. I really love reading which is why I had one of the spare rooms turned into a library." Aislin said, she tried to think of more things. "I also really enjoy baths. Really nice, luxurious baths. I guess Bridgit likes baths too, right?" Aislin tried to think of the incident without getting embarrassed. Tried being the operative word. "So, what do you do besides hacking, programming, and working on computers?"
Before Aislin could get an answer out of Alex, the waitress came back with their beverages and asked for their orders. "I'd like blueberry crepes, please." Aislin replied. She was a bit surprised at Alex's order. Five pieces seems a bit excessive. Aislin thought to herself. She wouldn't judge though, Aislin didn't actually have a biological need for food.
Alex decided to ask what was on Aislin's mind. She tried to think about how to phrase it properly so that Alex might bite. "I . . . uh well . . . I was just wondering if I could talk you into going shopping with me after breakfast. I was thinking . . . well . . . I had seen a few outfits around that I thought might look cute on you or Bridgit and I thought we might be able to go around Savale together maybe do a bit of shopping?" Aislin half asked half said, pausing several times to try and think about it in a way Alex might go after the idea. "It would be my treat. I'd let you pick out clothes for me too." She still didn't think Alex would go for it, though.

Alex listened to her talk about her favorite things. She would have to see what books were in the library so she didn't accidentally buy the fencing girl the same book. Why was she already planning presents? Pulling herself from that sort of thought process she heard the Bridgit comment. Her cheeks went pink as the incident was called back up. She was saved from answering when the waitress came back.
Seeing the look on Aislin's face she gave a smirk. "When I do eat. I eat alot." Well sometimes she would take half of it home for later too. Plus it worked as a good distraction for Bridgit. Looking at Aislin she watched as the girl seemed to be thinking. Sipping on the chocolate milk she waited until the girl finally got to the point. Though Alex found it interesting how she got so nervous. "You can go shopping with Bridgit when she wakes up. I don't wear girl clothing. Besides Bridgit likes shopping."
To get off the topic of shopping for cute clothes she went back to the earlier topic. "I also like reading, Gaming, and building things other than computers. Though the objects usually help with computers." After a bit of debate in her head she also added, "I also like swimming . What do you like to read?"

"That makes sense. I could probably eat more myself, I guess." Aislin commented. Well, it certainly couldn't hurt to eat more, it's not like it would do anything to her. Maybe she'd order more next time she decided to eat, see if she could match Alex.
Aislin was a tad disappointed when Alex said what essentially sounded to her like, "Just do it with Bridgit." "I wouldn't get you anything too girly. Men's clothing is just cut too straight and it's waste of your figure." Aislin said. She slowly became aware of the fact that she really couldn't get the bath incident out of her head. "I just thought you might feel better in some of the same clothes, just cut and sewn for a girl's body rather than a boy's." Aislin said. She hoped it was a good save, she didn't need anymore awkward moments in this conversation. "Besides, if I go shopping with Bridgit, only Bridgit gets to suggest things for me to try on and see me in them." Aislin gave a slight teasing smile.
"Oh! I've been reading a few books on electronics and computers since I moved in. Would you mind teaching me some more?" Aislin asked before she was asked about her preference in books. "Anything worth reading, I suppose. Anything written well. It kind of varies. Sometimes I go on a long spell of fantasy, sometimes I go on a long spell of nonfiction. It just depends. What do you like to read?" Aislin said, before deciding to tease Alex a little. "About the swimming, if you prefer men's clothes, how does that work out?"

Alex caught her disappointment as she told Aislin to go shopping with Bridgit. Of course she apparently wasn't giving up that easily either as she went on to try and persuade her to go shopping with her. Pulling at the edges of her shirt Alex forced herself to stop as she spoke up about her wardrobe. "I like my clothing cause its loose and easy to move in. Women's clothing is very clingy." It was also harder to hide her weapons under women's clothing and she was not asking Bridgit for tips on how. As Aislin teased her Alex looked at her with a slight smirk. There was probably a few items she might put Aislin in. "We shall see about the shopping."
"Sure. Stop on by anytime." Alex had no aversion to teaching people how to work with electronics and computers. As Aislin spoke up about her book preference she filed the information away for later. "Computer screens, sometimes a book or two that I have laying around." Alex looked up at the ceiling as she was teased about her clothing preference and swimming. Looking back at Aislin she sipped her chocolate milk again before deciding to speak. "Guess your just going to have to go swimming with me at some point. How about next weekend?" Her question came out rather smooth and it took herself a few minutes to realize she was already asking Aislin out on a 2nd date.

"It doesn't have to be clingy. Just because some girls like having painted on clothes doesn't mean it's all like that." Aislin commented. She'd have to introduce Alex to fashion . . . somehow. Well, at least Alex now appeared to be open to shopping. A gateway perhaps?
"You're welcome to my books, I'm sure there's something you'd like to read." Aislin commented. Not that she wanted to change Alex, Alex was just being very accommodating about sharing HER hobbies, so Aislin felt obligated to share it as well. It didn't really hurt that as long as she felt like someone could be trusted to keep the book in tact she would let them borrow it. Generally.
Alex' offer made Aislin shift a bit uncomfortably. "Er, well, I enjoy baths, but I don't really swim, so I never bothered finding a suit. Then again, we are going shopping after this, so maybe we should find one for me." Aislin replied, hoping that it implied her acceptance of the offer. She didn't know why the subject of a bathing suit now embarrassed her. It's not like Alex would pick out anything to revealing . . . she hoped. In fact, why would she worry about that, it wasn't like there was anything left to see between them. In fact, Aislin herself had jokingly implied Alex would walk around bare-breasted in trunks, so not only was she embarrassed she felt like a hypocrite about it. "So, were you thinking a pool or do you know of a near by beach?" Aislin inquired so as to change the subject to something less irrationally uncomfortable. Either should be fine. She'd never heard of a freshwater beach and pools had chlorine.

Alex rolled her eyes as Aislin tried to get her to change her view on woman's clothing. "Uh huh. That's why they advertise only the stuff that is clingy and sticks to the body?"
Alex nodded and made plans to look at Aislins books. She had no problem returning them in the shape she found them it was hiding them from Bridgit that took some work. Alex watched Aislin shift uncomfortably at her offer to go swimming. Hearing she didn't have a swimsuit she almost offered up one of hers until Aislin said they were going shopping anyways. Sighing in her head she decided to just give in. Shopping would not kill her. Besides she could stop at a few of the electronic stores in town. "Fine. If we are going shopping I want to stop at some of the electronic stores along the way." Alex watched her at their food arrived and was set in front of them. Alexia quickly moved on to another table though once their food was set.
"Actually there is a lake on the academy grounds. Its large and not very many people seem to go swimming in it due to the school having a pool and all. Its a bit of a hike but if we pack a lunch we could have a picnic." The words were out of mouth before she could stop them. Yup she was definitely asking Aislin on a date next weekend. She really needed to get her words under control.
