This power level system will work slightly different from my normal system. All characters will be given a "class" based on their character, and a rating. The rating is the actual relative power level and is based on a scale of 1-10 in Roman Numerals. In addition, each class has specific strengths and weaknesses making certain characters better in certain situations.
Your character's assigned numeral rating will be your relative power level, though how they compare to others will also be greatly determined by your class. Typically a first year student with no prior training will receive a rating of I, however if a student comes from a military family or have had prior training, they may be above the power level curve. The average power of first years students tends to range from I to III however there may be special cases. A student in their middle years of study will typically be rated a IV to V and an upper classmen will typically be around a VI.
VII is an interim rank and divides the greatest gap of actual power in the level system. A rank of VIII generally signifies a highly skilled and experienced adult, such as certain teachers or military commanders. The difference between the ranks of VI and VIII is about the same as the difference between a I and a VI. Likewise, the distance is equally as great between the ranks of VIII and IX.
Finally, the difference in power between a rank IX and a rank X is as great as the difference between a VI and a IX. Currently, the only rank X being is Head Master Eleazar.
When submitting an application, please include a note about which class you feel best suits your character and why.

Genius
Geniuses excel at learning and becoming skilled in many different things. They learn very quickly and become proficient in things faster than most others. In combat, they rely on their great skills and perceptive abilities to predict their opponents moves and plan several steps ahead.
However, Geniuses typically have lower stamina, as they do not need to work as hard to achieve things as others. This can be their downfall in battles with opponents who have a great amount of stamina and just don't quit.
Hard Worker[/u]
No matter the circumstances, or how far ahead the geniuses are getting, hard workers are people who will not give up. If at first they don't succeed, they try, try, and try again. Their perseverance in the face of outstanding odds is by far their greatest strength. Hard workers typically have a very high amount of stamina.
Ironically, the hard workers' greatest strength is also their greatest weakness. Their tendency to never give up and to take challenges without a second thought can often lead to them getting in over their heads.
Specialist[/u]
Specialists typically have one key skill that they excel at, and they focus on perfecting this skill in every way. When it comes to a specialized field, not even a genius can match the skill of a specialist. Typically, they base their entire combat style around their specialty, making them well prepared to deal with a variety of scenarios.
Unfortunately, this specialization also makes specialists the least well rounded of the classes, and can often cause them to come up short in situations that are natural counters to their specialty.
Berserker[/u]
The name says it all. Berserkers prefer to rely on their instincts and stamina to win battles for them, rather than coming up with complicated plans and predictions. Their great strength and forceful presence makes them intimidating to others and their thoughtless tactics can often confuse and disorient opponents.
Unfortunately, this rash style has it's drawbacks. Berserkers tend to take more damage than the other classes and while their high stamina pool can mitigate much of this, if they push themselves too far it can quickly take its toll.
Natural[/u]
Naturals are all those who don't have any one specific specialization or defining characteristics. They are your average Joes and Joans. Since naturals lack any special defining characteristics, they tend to be more free in choosing their studies and skill sets. They tend to dabble in a bit of everything, and are the most well rounded of the classes. Because of this, Naturals tend to be able to work out an answer for most situations.
Naturals do not have as severe a weak point as the other classes. Rather, their weakness is simply when good isn't good enough. In situations where a specialty class is necessary, naturals are forced to take the sidelines.
Rare/Restricted Classes:[/u] These are classes that are above and beyond the ordinary. They are typically used for special characters and can only be assigned by John or Mike.
Prodigy[/u]
Every so often, a family produces a child who is above and beyond all expectations. From the very beginning, their skills are far above those of even a genius in terms of mastery. Prodigies share all of the defining characteristics of the other classes, while lacking all of the weaknesses.
Master[/u]
Years of practice and study can only get an individual so far. In order to truly ascend to the level of master, one needs a great deal of experience, and when they have achieved this, it will be apparent immediately. Master stand above and beyond the skills and reactionary instincts of others. Even in situations where the opponent may be more powerful or have more stamina, a Master always knows just the right solution to solve the problem. Their experience and great wisdom set them apart from all other classes, earning them the respect that the title of Master insinuates.[/center]
