Flying Adventures and Other Excitments (Open to all)

[Stein]

Taighler and Taylour were standing outside the dorm building waiting for Clover. They were going to do some training with her, and she had gone to her room to get some stuff. It was a bright sunny afternoon with a nice breeze wafting through the grass and trees.

They were sitting out in the grass facing each other tinkering with something that no one else could see. They were both affixing artificial feathers and covers to their wings; no one else could see their wings through the illusion and it’d look like they were playing-pretend or something to the common person. Taighlour do you remember how to fly…we both kind of remember, but the last time we flew was about a century ago…let’s test this some

They twins both stood up and took off, they could get up, but couldn’t maintain height or speed for long and they flew back down and landed gracefully on the ground. We should get those dramatic costume robes we kept….where did we put those.

[Rikka]

Clover came running outside with a tanktop and boy shorts on, which came to about the top of her knees with her 5'6'' frame. Her feet like always were bare as she ran toward the twins. She had kept her hair strawberry blonde and her eyes were still half silver half gold. As they took off she slid to a stop and just watched them. Admiration was at the top of her mind as she watched them soar, but before long they seemed to be unable to maintain the speed or height required for flight. As they landed she moved toward them with a huge grin.

"That was amazing!" Stopping next to them she looked at their wings and still thought they were beautiful. Blinking she knew she couldn't learn to fly with out the wings. This time she used the Angel DNA making them slightly longer since she they weren't as tall as the Demon wings. The wings slipped easily out of the slits in the back of her shirt that she had made as she tweaked them slightly in length. Looking at them she smiled. "How do the Angel wings look? They should be about 12 feet."

[Stein]

The twins smiled as they landed and Clover came running, telling them how beautiful their wings and flight was. That’s just because she’s never seen an angel in flight before. We’re ungraceful and clumsy in fight. They thought together. When Clover brought out the wings and asked about them the twins walked around Clover hand-in-hand.

“They look about the right length. Flight is very similar to a bird, or a bat. You’ll have to flap some to take off, and you want to catch an air current in the upper atmosphere and glide, otherwise you’ll tire yourself out. But, first we’re going to test the sensation in your wings tell us if you can feel where we’re touching the wings, if you can’t feel it then there’s a nerve misconnected and flight could be un-safe.” The twins said as they walked to near the ends of her wings, they were touching the same spot on the two wings. As they asked they moved down the wing, getting closer to her back (They’re touching the top, the middle, the bottom, feathers, etc.) “Can you feel it here... here…here…here…and here?”

The twins grinned let’s do it They were at her back and each started rubbing/scratching the spot where the wing emerges from the back; the spot was a very sensitive spot, and rubbing it helped calm someone, put them to sleep or was a turn-on occasionally. They smiled as they continued “How does that feel?” Thy asked knowingly

[Horo]

”Maybe you’re my Love”

Horo approached the dorm building singing lightly. Her outfit was simple, yoga pants and a camisole, both black in color. She had spent the last few hours in her office, getting used to using her Pulse ability again after her visit with Stein. There were things she couldn’t do before that she wanted to explore. Coming over the horizon she saw the Twins, Taighler and Taylour flying around without wings, lading next to the girl Clover. Horo remembered the Twins from their antics in the forest with Dewdrop and Erebus, and has had watched Clover’s fight with Luca during the prelims for the tournament.

”I know, I’ll learn how to fly.”

Horo casually approached the trio, letting loose her Pulse abilities to sense out the area. She could visualize the area in her head, the Twin’s bodies had wing like projections from their backs and still the strange link between them that caused the hairs on Horo’s neck to stand on end. Clover’s body was loose; Horo could only use the word malleable to describe it. The deep sound of popping vibrated from her neck as Horo stopped focusing on her Pulse senses. ”Popping my joints is always so relaxing.” she commented to herself as she concluded her approach.

”Ho, Twins, Clover. It fine day for flying, wouldn’t you say?” Horo preformed a front flip, landing close to Clover. She placed her right hand on Clover’s shoulder, leaning slightly on her. ”I’m interested in learning how to fly. Any tips?”

Clover stood still as they inspected the wings. Nodding at their explanation she gave her wings an experimental shake. As they began touching spots she grinned happy that she had been working with nerves lately. Normally she only felt the pressure of things but with some practice she could actually feel things since she added nerve endings. "Yes....Yes.....Yup....Yes.....Errr one sec." Realigning the nerves she nodded as she got it right. "Yes."

Blinking as they started to rub the spot between her wings she snapped her wings together and jumped away turning to face them. Something, she couldn't identify because she had never felt that way had shot right through her when they had rubbed that spot. To anyone else it was identified as Desire but to Clover she had absolutely no idea what it had been.

Clover heard Horo as she approached and looked toward her. Clover smiled happy that Horo looked better than she had when she left the ring. Her battle with Pierce had scare Clover. Especially since she had tried so hard. Pushing thoughts of the weird feeling to the back of her mind she looked at Horo as the girl leaned slightly on her. "Actually I am going to learn myself! I haven't used these types of wings before." Slowly she let the angel wings on her back expand outwards a bit as she was careful not to hit Horo in the process.

[Stein]

The twins grinned as Clover reacted to their wing scratching and snapped her wings closed, they heard her ask herself what that feeling was…it was desire. The twins thought to Clover Do you know what that feeling is? do you want us to tell you? When she said that she did they leaned over and whispered in her ear quiet enough that no one else would hear“…Desire”

They turned to Horo quickly and said “Hello Horo, yes we’re going to learn to fly. It’ll be fun” They leaned against each other’s backs for a moment before jumping apart suddenly. ow, shit, we'd forgotten that our wings were out. Their wings were now both throbbing slightly from the pain; they quickly tried to cover their mistake and said in response to Horo’s question “To fly you need a happy thought, or feeling…. and wings so that you look sexy while you fly. After you have wings and a happy feeling you just need to flap the wings up and down, and jump off the ground a little; and make sure you get into the upper wind currents, otherwise it’ll be very tiring very quick. If you need wings I’m sure we could find some for you to borrow.”

[Horo]

Horo nodded. Happy thoughts and wings. I’m surprised they didn’t say pixie dust Taking a good look at the two twins she sighed. “Oh, but I have no wings.” She began in a fragile voice, acting like a scared child for a short moment. Horo couldn’t keep up the facade more than those few seconds before letting go of Clover’s shoulder and standing ‘tall’ with her hands on her hips.

“If I were to have wings, they would have to be big hawk wings that matched my hair color and pattern. Otherwise, I guess I’ll have to make do without. I’m sure I can think of something.” Horo knew that flight was possible with pulse, she had seen Giovanni preform it before, but her current methods of Pulse moved everything relative to her. Now she would either have to grow wings, or fix her dilemma. Horo looked at the twins and playfully pointed. “Where are your wings?”

[Rikka]

Clover watched as they grinned getting suspicious of them. When they asked if she wanted to know she almost said no with the evil grins on their faces. Of course she gave in and blinked as the leaned in close to her. She jumped as they told her and quickly she shoved up a mental barrier as her mind went into a frenzy. Henko didn't know desire.....did they? She knew they could become another species if they stayed in the DNA template forms. The books nor her parents said they only had to reproduce by exchanging DNA. Maybe she would go to Stein later and have her help figure this out. It was new and Stein seemed to know all about hormones.

As Horo spoke up she derailed from her train of thought and focused on the here and now. Clover chuckled over Horo's antics. She had to have been the most amusing first year on Clover's list. "Well you see Horo I stole their wings and now I am forcing them to teach me to fly!" She hadn't technically stolen the wings, they had given her the DNA, but it was always fun to mess with people. With a smile she ran off to try flying. Giving the wings an experimental flap she stretched them out and ran forward a couple of feet her wings flapping as they caught air. She got about a yard up before she lost the air current and tumbled back down hitting the ground rolling. When she finally stopped she stared up at the sky from her back. Sitting up she looked over her wings and found they were okay. The feathers that were bent out of shape she fixed with a simple thought. Finding her right arm bent at a funny angle she straightened it out and stretched it out a bit before hopping up to her feet.

[Stein]

“Hmmm, we think you’d look better with pink fairy wings.” The twins said on unison grinning wickedly. A pair of little pink fairy wings appeared on Horo’s back as the twins began laughing. The twins finished laughing and closed their wings as Clover claimed to have stolen them. “It’s true. She stole our wings, but we grew more. Behold!” The twins removed the illusion from their wings and spread them out dramatically, being careful not to touch them together. The twins obviously had as much flair as Horo when they chose too; them and their wings were perfectly silhouetted against the sky behind them

They watched Clover take off and said quickly “Clover you need to wait for the current! be careful, wait don-“ To late they watched as Clover plowed into the ground and they ran over to help her up. They checked over her wings, making sure she’d realigned all the feathers correctly, they weren’t concerned about her arm, she fixed it quickly enough and they knew she’d be fine, but they were still worried. “Clover, you’re lucky we didn’t check all the nerve in your wings, otherwise you’d be lying on the ground in pain currently.”

[Horo]

Horo laughed at the fairy wings, before giving the twins an unbelieving glare. "You're serious?" Crosding her arms Horo began to shake her head back forth.

"This its not Hong to work. I need better wings than these. Or no wings at all." Horo began to channel her pulse energy towards her feet. The twins had nice wings, she wanted cool wings too.

"Once i have cool wings, I'll try." Horo gave Clover a competitive stare. "Then I'll bee the first one to fly around the form building."

Horo spoke with confidence, although she had no clue if she could back it up.

[Rikka]

Clover looked at the twins as they raced over and helped her up. Giving the wings an experimental flutter she looked at them and arched her brow. "You think I didn't remove that part of the DNA? I don't like pain and its easier just to 'delete' that part of the code anyways." Instead of getting annoyed though her face softened into a gentle smile. "Thanks for worrying though."

Turning to Horo as she joined them she went back to grinning. Walking up to her she walked around her in a circle before nodding. "I can make wings for you. All I need is-" Reaching out she quickly plucked a hair from Horo's head. " this hair." Dissolving it into her palm she thought about the wings that Horo wanted. It wouldn't be that hard to make her a pair. Plus she could recollect the cells later. Taking the fairy wings off her she handed them back to the twins. Pulling the string on her shorts tighter she tied it off before walking behind Horo and placing her hands on the girl's back.

Slowly she walked backwards as large eagle wings with horo's requested coloration on them. They were thin but Clover had a feeling she wouldn't be actually using them. When they were about 4ft for each wing she pulled her hands away again. "They will probably feel a bit heavy but not as bad as a full set of wings. I will be collecting those when we are done. And I do believe I will be the first one to fly around the dorm building!" Clover grinned and set off to try again. This time watching the air current.

[Stein]

The twins pulled Clover to her feet and watched her finish adjusting her wings. Both twins were laughing at Horo’s reaction to the wings they’d so kindly provided Figures, no one truly appreciates the beauty of the fairy wings They applauded and clapped as Clover created a pair of artificial wings for Horo, they grinned impishly as Clover said she’d be the first around the dorms “They’re lovely wings Clover and Horo, but we’re still going to win this race, see you across the finish line!” They called before running and jumping perfectly into an air current.

The twins angled their jump so one twin was flying directly above the other as they took off and flew. They were using their wings, and their telekinesis to fly, it wasn’t cheating for them to give themselves a ‘push’ with telekinesis. They were quickly out of sight flying off and around the dorm building. Technically we should win, but Horo has a speed affinity, and Clover’s just a quick learner….we’ll see how this goes.

[Horo]

Panic rose in her chest forcing her flight response to take action. Horo jumped backwards and landed with a graceful roll, locking her eyes upon Colver with unyielding wrath. My hair! My perfect, beautiful hair! Stolen from its perfect sanctuary atop my greatness! Rational returned to the small Anulupis. Horo stood back up and allowed Clover to rest her hand between her shoulderblades. The wings formed gracefully but their added weight forced Horo to wrap her beautiful tail around her waist to restore balance. ”Interesting... I wonder... Clover these are made from my DNA correct?” The question was rhetorical, as Horo already had a plan in mind. She began vibrating her body as if to shift into her besteail form, but instead began to match the wings into the vibration and merge the skeletal and nerve structures into her being. She halted her progress and sighed unsuccessfully as her body returned to normal. Her brain didn't have any nerve ending to control the wings, she would have to work on it at a later time, if the wings lasted long enough.

Horo regained awareness of the events happening around her and gasped, the other two had started a race without her. She took a few quick steps and jumped into the air, Her wings slowed her rise and descent more than she had expected. With Pulse as her tool she folded her wings and launched herself into the air; at max height she forced the wings open and began to glide. She repeated the process, but she was too far behind the others. ”I will lose this race I guess, but if I can keep these wings... The idea of always having wings spun in her mind, but she concluded that they wouldn’t be permanent. Once Horo reached the halfway point around the Dorm building the other two were well on their way back to the start, so she took her time, enjoying the air as she glided like Super Mario.

It took Horo a good three minutes to make it full around the dorm building. She landed with grace and looked at Clover and the Twins. ”These wings are nice but, I’m afraid I’m going to have to go natural.” Horo vibrated the wings from her back and set them nicely on the ground. She took up a runner’s position and let her tail from around her waist. ”This is a real race now.” The idea in Horo’s head felt perfect for her rag tag way of doing things. Gliding on the air currents had giver her the idea, Birds and ships glide by resting on the air itself and sliding forward so long as they have speed. I can do that. With a smirk Horo pushed off and began sprinting. Her human body was pushing 40 MPH before her feet began to lift off the ground. Horo slowed the vibration of the air, making it hard for split seconds, giving her enough pressure to keep her afloat and used that to run along the air. This method would have to work until she learned the mechanics of flight or decided to just use her Pulse to move herself.

[Rikka]

Clover chuckled as Horo jumped away from her as a piece of her hair was removed. "The coloration is from your DNA the wings themselves are made from an Eagle's DNA." Clover watched her and before long she realized what the Anulupis was going to do. "Please Don--" Clover's body shuddered with a slight pain as Horo tried to steal the cells. Though Clover soon gave a sigh of relief as the girl gave up. "Please don't do that again. It hurts. It may be your DNA but they are my cells."

With that done she felt for the air currents before finding one she particularly liked and running with it. She leapt and unfurled her wings and gave several swift flaps as she caught the air current and moved up into the sky. Slightly unsteady she gave a few more flaps as Clover fought to catch up with the twins. It was noticeable as she gained confidence her flight evened out and Clover started to gain speed. It was an easy thing to catch up to Horo and pass her heading back to the start point. "Oh don't tell me you have given up already!" Clover grinned at Horo's challenging as she flew back to the start point.

Getting to the start point she tucked in her wings and dropped four feet to the ground knees bent. Standing up she smiled at Horo as he finally made it and watched as she vibrated the wings off. Nodding her head Clover walked over and placed her hand on top of one of the wings as they turned black and seemed to get absorbed into her hand. As the last of the wings was pulled back into her body she loosened the drawstring on her shorts and returned to looking like an average weight of a girl of 5'8". At Horo's challenge she grinned and took off running beside her. Blinking at how fast Horo was on her feet Clover felt for a wind current and unfurled her wings when she found one she like. Hopping up she gave her wings a flap and pushed herself up into the air. Quickly she rode the air current to Horo side. "Your pretty quick!"
