Mekura sighed and hung her head back for a moment like a irritated child before she lifted her head back up and instead rested it on his shoulder. "Fine you may take me to my house but not to my bed. Maybe I will even invite you inside for a drink." Closing her eyes she listened to the sound of the forest they had entered and their heartbeats. The lull of his gentle swaying and breathing pulled a sense of safety over her allowing her to relax in his arms.
Feeling him clutch her tighter she knew his thoughts were sliding to darker paths.Taking a breath she she started a very lullaby like song in her native tongue.
"Cum dies frigidis Et schedulae omnes, pauxillum Et sanctis, videmus Secundo, utrum omnes ex auro
Cum videritis recedatur Et eos, qui Veneremur Sunt omnium pessima, Et in veteri bellorum sanguine Fugit
Volo veritatem occultare Volo vos protegant Sed intus est bestia, et cum Illic 'nusquam possunt occultare" She voice was gentle and soothing hoping to calm him. Though she was unsure if it would work. Especially since she could only go off his body language being unable to see him.
"Non materia quod genus, Adhuc sunt gulae Hic est filius meus regnum Hic est filius meus regnum
Cum tu sentire calorem Respice in oculis meis, Sed ubi me abscondam daemonia Sed ubi me abscondam daemonia Ne nimis prope Est intus opaca Sed ubi me abscondam daemonia Sed ubi me abscondam daemonia
Ad nihilum vocanti Suus 'omnium novissimus, Cum autem luminaria exerit Omnes peccatores repere" [[Ooc; MelodyI am using but translated to latin.]]

As Mekura sang, Ben realized he was being obvious and gradually allowed himself to relax. Taking a deep breath, he turned his gaze up, peering at the beams of sun lancing through the canopy of trees above them. A short way off, the peaceful sound of a running stream could be heard. Ben shifted direction slightly to angle towards the stream as he posed a question.
"Have you ever wondered about the different paths your decisions could have lead to? In the past, I mean. Things you could have done differently, and how much it would have changed things?"

Mekura kept up her singing as he gradually relaxed. As she finished the song she hummed quietly while the sounds of the forest gently surrounded her. Hearing the stream she felt him angle toward it as its steady sound drew closer. Hearing his question she thought about it.
"I spent a lot of time when I was younger wondering if I could have done anything to change a lot of things. But when I think about it now. I don't think I would choose anything differently really. Yes maybe I could have gone down a different path, but without choosing the paths I did I wouldn't have become who I am today. I probably wouldn't have ended up here. I probably wouldn't have known the students I do....Or made the friends I have."
Going quiet for a moment, it almost seemed as if she had fallen asleep. "And I probably wouldn't have met you. Of course with such a womanizer you are I might have met you anyways. I may not have made all the right choices but they led me to where I am now."

Ben quietly listened to her answer, and poked her side with his cradling hand in response to her teasing comment. He made a noncommittal humming sound in recognition as they broke out of the tree cover to the stony area around the stream. He continued closer, crunching along the smooth pebbles of the bank before coming to a stop. As he watched the water, his face took on a wistful expression.
"At times, I can't help but feel that in the flow of time, our choices don't change the course by much." With a deft flick of his foot, he launched a medium sized rock out into the stream where it landed with a sploosh, spraying them with droplets of water. "Casting a large stone into the stream may temporarily divert the flow of the water around it, but it quickly resumes it's course on the opposite side. The direction of the stream is not changed, and the disturbance may not even reach its edges." Ben sighed at his own melancholy. "Though, I suppose it's actually just a matter of perspective. A single rock isn't much when compared to the entire stream, but to the molecules of water that impact it, I suppose it would seem an insurmountable titan."

Mekura lightly flicked his hand as he poked her side. Opening her eyes she looked at the stream but was really just listening to the sound. Listening to him she gently tapped a finger on her leg. "Maybe our choices don't maybe we will be pulled along. But eventually you come to a fork and you have to make a decision. Here let me down. Today has just been one big ball of something." Even as she said it she tried to get down.
When he set her on her feet she stepped out of her shoes and slid on foot into the stream and then the other. Moving till she was about the middle of the stream she turned around and looked at Ben. "Come lets relax for a few and have some fun. We need to make some more good memories to balance out the bad." Lightly she kicked some water at Ben and smiled.

A warm smile spread across Ben's face. He watched Mekura for a few moments with an uncharacteristically reserved fondness. "Relax huh?" He asked quietly to himself. Closing his eyes, he inhaled a deep breath before slowly blowing it out. Eyes remaining closed, Ben stepped out of his sandals and into the stream. In the wake of the ripple formed by his foot, the surface of the water fell completely still. Continuing towards Mekura at a sedate pace, his hands traced a smooth arc away from him, palms held parallel to the surface of the water. At the end of the arc, Ben ceased his approach. Flipping his hands palms up, he gestured sharply towards the sky and the stream burst towards the sky.
All of the water around them leaped into the air as though propelled by an explosion, before quickly decelerating. Droplets and slightly larger spheres of water hung in the air around them, smoothly dancing in the same direction as the stream's flow. The suspended water parted around them, as though it were flowing around a stone in the stream, leaving only the faintest mist to dampen their clothes and skin. Meanwhile, the air around them took on a gentle warmth as Ben's energy suffused it, calling the water to dance to the flow of his will. Opening his eyes, he locked his gaze with Mekura's and gave her a playful smirk.
"I think I still need to work some of the adrenaline out of my system. How about a game instead?" Ben gestured towards the sky and the water surged upwards in a double helix, spiraling higher and higher to form a towering column of gleaming droplets that continued to grow. "We'll do a race to the clouds." His smirk became a teasing challenge. "That is, if your water skipping is up to par. I'll go easy if you need me to."
Ben leaped into the air, slowing only to brush a droplet of water with his foot and accelerate upwards again with a slight burst of energy, breaking the surface tension of the droplet and forcing it to burst into a fine mist.

Mekura couldn't help but return some of his fondness with some of her own. Blinking she found his energy humming around him. Staying still she listened as the sounds gave form to what he was doing. When the droplets and spheres formed she reached out with her right hand to touch one of the bigger ones. Feeling his gaze lock on hers, she smiled even as he playfully smirked at her. One of her brows arched as he mentioned a game. Actually a game sounded fun.
As he gestured upwards she let out senses a little and found the water droplets and spheres where a tower was growing ever higher. This time she grinned as he said they would race to the clouds. "Don't worry. I'll be sure to wave at you from the top." Using her speed she gave herself a little extra boost to jump from one large sphere to the next. Landing lightly on the balls of her feet as she raced after him toward the clouds.
Quickly she went to race past him as a light happy laugh escaped her. She liked games even if she wasn't always on the winning team. Kicking off another bubble of water she landed on one slightly further than Ben. "Come on Ben your falling behind." Her voice held a teasing note as she jumped to another bubble and then to another.

Ben kept pace with Mekura, flitting from one bubble to the next as they climbed higher and higher into the sky. It wasn't long before they could see most of the city splayed out not too far off. Idly, he wondered if anyone would notice their antics. When Mekura teased him with a playful taunt, he refocused his attention and his grin grew again.
"Well, if I'm falling behind, I'll just have to cheat!" With an extra burst of energy, Ben launched himself straight up at the some moment a clone appeared behind him. With a lecherous chuckle, the clone wiggled its fingers and lunged for Mekura, attempting to catch her in a disruptive glomp.

Mekura jumped from bubble to bubble keeping an ear on Ben's movements. As his attention refocused on her she gave him a teasing smile. "Oh well if you get to cheat so do I." Jumping up and over the clone he had made she landed on a bubble barely wider than her palm. Using light to help her there was suddenly several Mekura's crisscrossing on their way up the tower of water.
She knew he would probably know which one was her from her chi but perfect light clones could fool anyone's eyes as she put on a burst of speed popping several bubbles as she moved to catch up with him. "Is that what you call cheating? I feel it was a little weak.....Maybe you weren't really trying!" Happy laughter sprang from her lips anyways as she teased him.

"Them's fightin words miss!" He called out in response. With another flash of golden energy, the sky directly above Mekura was filled with clones. They spread their arms wide and grinned down at her.
"Banzai!" Came their collective shout as they allowed gravity to take hold and pull them down towards her in a blanket of falling 'Ben'. Meanwhile, the one below her readjusted it's direction and put on a burst of speed attempting to catch up.
"I'll get you yet my pretty!" He called out.

Mekura laughed as he suddenly created several of him above her. Her light clones grinned and jumped up towards the falling Bens and bursting in a bright light to blind them. Mekura herself just a burst of speed to hopefully propel herself through the gap in the Bens and then use them to propel herself past the original Ben. If it worked she might have enough of a lead to beat him.
Just in case she snapped her fingers hoping to pop the next couple of water bubbles with sound that Ben might land on to slow his momentum. Possibly even send him falling down.

Ben allowed himself to miss further opportunities to accelerate to turn and ready himself at the gap in his clones. Grinning as Mekura went for it, he prepared for his final attack!
"Bwah ha ha! You've have fallen for my sinister trap!" Catching her in an enormous bear hug, Ben pulled her in tight as they passed into the cloud they had been approaching. He let his control on the water tower below slip and instead suffused his energy through the cloud. The water and particulate matter rapidly condensed as they decelerated in their approach to the opposite side. When they finally passed through the opposite side, Ben spun so they would be properly oriented and gently set Mekura down on the now waterbed like surface, maintaining his hold on her in case she lost her balance.
Yes. It was only to help her keep her balance...
Ben looked out over the scenery spread invitingly below them. He focused on the sprawling city, massive even from this height. The constant shifting was a testament to how many people moved about through its streets on a daily basis. The shadow from their cloud lazily drifted across the boundary of the academy, providing the courtyard and entry buildings some shade.
"We'll just have to face what comes like we always do." Pulling back slightly without breaking the hug, Ben smiled down at Mekura. "And like we always will."

Mekura made it through the gap with little to no trouble and then he was right there. As he caught her in a bear hug she hugged him back as she laughed. This was the most fun she had had in years. It made her relax as she held on to Ben with one arm while the other she trailed through the cloud they were going through. As they exited the cloud she smiled as he spun to orientate them.
When they settled on the cloud she found it moved just like a waterbed. Wavy but solid enough. Happy for his grip she took a few moments to gain her balance as her fingers grasped his robe. Though even after she gained her balance she held onto him gently. Looking out at the city they were lazily floating over she closed her eyes listening to the everyday sounds of the city.
The cloud soon was rolling over the academy's boundary leaving it shadow in its wake. As Ben smiled down at her she opened her eyes and looked up meeting his eyes with a smile of her own. "So long as there is pieces we can put them back together again." It might have been the stress, It might have been the scenery, or it could have been that she felt safe with him, but she found herself standing on her tiptoes, hands on his shoulders. Before she could squash the impulse she kissed him. Softly and sweetly.

Ben leaned gently into the kiss, savoring the feeling of her soft lips and warm body in his arms. Humming in appreciation, he tightened his hug again, lifting her an inch off her feet before leaning backwards to fall back onto the surface of the cloud. He stared lazily up at the sun and sky above them as they bobbed up and down on the waves caused by the impact.
"So," he began with a lazy grin. "Does this mean I get to take you all the way to the bed now?"

Mekura let out a soft sigh of happiness that took her by surprise. Blushing pink she felt him lift her up so her feet were no longer touching the ground and before she knew it Mekura was laying on his chest as he stared up at the sky above them. Hiding her face behind her hair as she laid against his chest she found herself having to come to term with her feelings.
Still she stayed where she was even as he began his question. "Absolutely not Benjamin Fiore." Though she didn't sound irritated and unlike usual she stayed where she was. Closing her eyes she simply let his natural earthy scent surround her.
